About artist

Olivera Gavrić Pavić, born in Belgrade. Graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, section of painting, in 1990. Received her master‘s degree (section of painting) at the same Academy in 1992. Graduated at the Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences in 1988. She is an art critic, including in the field of visual arts.      

So far, she had 17 one-man exhibitions (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Leskovac, Kragujevac, Munich, Calcutta, Zemun, Zajecar, Prijepolje) and more than 130 group exhibitions in the country and abroad, and has created 12 mosaic-icons in public places of worship.

She has worked continuously in the mosaic technique since 1988. Her mosaic opus encompasses three entities: mosaics before the year 2000 in which she explores the relief form, mosaic icons and mosaics produced after 2000 in which she reunites all her experiences from the past.
